Mr. Aruna Dheerasinghe is a highly accomplished senior executive with over 23 years of leadership experience within the Vallibel Group of Companies. He joined the Group in 2000 and was appointed Joint Chief Executive Officer of Vallibel Power Erathna PLC in 2009. His career spans diverse sectors, including renewable energy, engineering, finance, high-end leisure, and commercial development.

Mr. Dheerasinghe holds a BSc in Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) from the University of Colombo, and a Master’s degree in Financial Management from Middlesex University, UK.

In his current capacity, he serves as Joint CEO of Vallibel Power Erathna PLC and Country Energy (Pvt) Ltd, managing a portfolio of hydropower plants with a combined capacity exceeding 20MW. He also leads luxury hospitality developments as CEO and Project Director of Greener Water Ltd, which is constructing a 500-room luxury resort under the JW Marriott brand, and of Summer Season Ltd, which is developing a 228-room super luxury resort under the Ritz-Carlton brand. Additionally, he plays an active role in the agricultural, horticultural, and plantation sectors as Managing Director of Vallibel Plantations(Pvt) Ltd and Rich Earth (Pvt) Ltd, , initiating and overseeing operations across more than 650 acres.

Additionally, Mr. Dheerasinghe functions as CEO of Vallibel Engineering Ltd, responsible for the construction, expansion, and renovation projects across the Vallibel Group’s subsidiaries.

His extensive expertise encompasses project management, engineering, renewable energy, strategic business planning, and the execution of complex infrastructure projects. Notable projects under his leadership include the Erathna, Way Ganga, Barcaple and Denawaka Ganga hydropower plants, as well as prominent developments such as The Fortress Resorts-Koggala, The Kingsbury Hotel, Amaya Lake Hotel, LB Finance Corporate Office Tower and the Vallibel Finance Tower.

Mr. Dheerasinghe is recognized for his ability to drive multi-sectoral business initiatives, guide strategic company formations, and successfully lead projects through their full development lifecycle.
