Located in Durekkanda, Ratnapura, this run-of-the-river plant is operated by Country Energy (Pvt) Ltd, the subsidiary of Vallibel Power Erathna PLC. It harnesses the Denawaka Ganga to generate around 25 GWh of clean electricity annually, reducing approximately 13,500 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. With a net head of 33 meters and the longest channel (1,800 meters) among the Group’s plants, it is equipped with machinery supplied by Dongfeng, China.
